![]() I wanted it to be a quick parting of ways - i knew i’d never order from there agin because the quality was sooo deplorable. i was hoping he just would take the receipt and give me my money back, but I whispered, “it was 25 with tip(i only - lil over 2$, but it was a pick-up - i typically tip 20% dine-in, 10% pick-up, minimum. ![]() I said, again quietly, “im the one who called”. I couldn’t help but think, God i hope they dont give everyone food like they gave us, but i quietly waited my turn. I went inside with the receipt and calmly, quietly waited till he helped a patron in front of me. When i drove back, i brought all the food, but left it in the truck and tore off the receipt. I never do this kind of thing, and i consider just calling-it again and saying whatever to the 25 bucks, but i hopped in my truck and drove 15min back to the restaurant. I just quickly said it was all awful, really bad, and he said he’d refund me, but i’d have to come in. I figured he’d just refund me over the phone. I had said “25$ donation”, but after stewing on it, and after we literally had 3.7 pf the 4 lbs of food left, i decided to call. Now, let me say, we are not the kind to leave reviews like this, and the chances of one of us not eating food because of quality is rare, and for us both to start and get only a fee bites on ea item-in and say no way, is a first.Īnd this is where it gets worse, if anything can be worse than hoping u dont get sick after you painfully swallow a fee bites of truly terrible chinese food. It turns out everything from my kung po, to the crab rangoon, to my wifes general tso’s, truly, regretfully, inedible. I texted my wife, “inedible”, she responded, “yep”. It was so off i was concerned it would make me sick. I added a pack and a half of soy sauce but there was no saving it at this point. Very bland, but i couldnt get around that texture of the raw chicken, nor the consistency and taste of yhe entire dish. ![]() But strangely it was like the outside was disentigrating, and the inside was a gelatinis, fiberous stringy texture. ![]() It was quite literally the worst example of kung po chicken i had ever seen, tasted. I rushed home, put my other halfs order in front of her upstairs(she was working from home), while i ventured to the mancave to plop on a movie and eat myself. My expectations were slightly heightened by a patron that was waiting, that I befriended, talking about golf etc, and he talked how good the food was there. I got there 5 min before the food came out. I efficiently finished my errand, picked up the chipotle, then the chinese. I eat Chinese 25-30 times a year, at least, and I can’t remember any experience quite like this one. Im also a steel trap that is like Mikey, “I’ll eat anything”, and if it’s Chinese food, i will clean the plate with the most average of offerings. few things.I haven’t left a review in years. The boys wanted Chipotle, and the wife n I were craving Chinese. I was headed to the Sawmill area for another errand. Woke-up for my first few days off in a while, and asked the family what they wanted for lunch.
